Come as our guest, and we believe you’ll leave as our friend.
Going to a new church for the first time can be intimidating. So we trust the answers to these questions will help you have a great experience. We also encourage you to fill out this digital Connect Card to let us know you plan a visit.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
What you wear is not as important as you might think. Our regular crowds dress casually, and our pastoral staff is typically dressed in business casual attire. Most of us prefer blue jeans and other comfy clothes.
WHERE DO I PARK?
You can enter our paved lot at 1095 Muscogee Road. You’ll have a designated GUEST parking spot that's a short walk to the entrance. You’ll recognize the entrance doors with the bold “Welcome Home” lettering, and a smiling face will greet you there.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Our Sunday morning worship services begin at 11 and 9:15, but you might want to come early to enjoy a free cup of coffee and a sweet treat.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN AND OTHER NEEDS?
As soon as you enter our lobby, you’ll feel the excitement of genuine hometown hospitality. Right away, you’ll see our staffed nursery is close by for your precious little ones, and clean restrooms are also readily seen. One of our greeters will gladly help you get your children checked in to our Harvest Kids Church.
WHAT ARE THE PEOPLE LIKE?
Harvest Christian Center is a church of people from all walks of life. However, we’re kind of a mess. As a community of people finding out what it means to have life in Jesus, follow Him daily, and leave our pasts behind, we desire to be better. God’s grace is what we depend upon, and He is the source of our blessings.
WHAT WILL THE WORSHIP SERVICE BE LIKE?
Our worship service has three basic parts: music, message, and altar ministry. You will experience music that is contemporary, modern, and Christ-focused. Don’t worry about not knowing the words because we’ll have them projected onto screens for you to follow or sing along. The spoken message will feature a practical, relevant Bible-based message. Should you desire that, the message is usually followed up with a response time for altar ministry. Our worship service is always over in plenty of time for lunch and other afternoon family activities. If you’d like to know more about our worship services before coming, the next best way to check us out is on our Facebook livestream.
WHAT IS REQUIRED OF ME?
Nothing. We won’t pressure you to do anything. You’ll be asked to fill out a Connect Card that gives us your name and contact information. That’s so we can mail you a brief thank you note for being with us. Plus, if you turn in that completed Connect Card on the way out, we’ll give you some homemade treats and a coupon for a free pizza. When our offerings are received, we will not pressure you to give. First-time guests are not expected to provide financial gifts. After the sermon, our pastor usually gives an invitation for prayer. You’ll only come forward if you want the spiritual ministry of prayer with one of our altar workers.
